We love this sign, and wish that we had created it.
At Lauretano Sign Group, we put a lot of emphasis on making sure we stand by our work, and do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is happy. A recent project that we worked on showcases our commitment to the customers needs.
Project: Electronic bulletin board, NYC
Lauretano has a long-standing history for doing sign projects throughout NYC. The Marble Collegiate Church project came to us through an architect that we worked with on a hotel in the area.
The church was looking to replace their reader board with an electronic version, so they could change the messages with a click of a button instead of climbing a ladder to do it manually.
It was important for this sign to resemble the original reader board with a modern style digital display for easy viewing.
The Process
To recreate the original look, we skinned the structure with bronze panels and went with a 55” Extreme LCD display panel with tempered break-proof glass to give it the updated look they requested.
Unfortunately, the permitting process took over a year, because it needed to be approved by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
We persisted through the process. The sign is now installed, and our customer was thrilled with the result.
